Week 8 Reflection
On Monday, we went to tech arts and it was our first tech arts for Design [Wood work], instead of going on Friday wk 7, we went on Monday wk 8, because Mr Graham was away. Anyway we learnt what all the machines in his room were as well as how loud they are, I'm glad we ended up going to tech arts on Monday because we learnt a lot about the machine and about what he expects for us. On Tuesday, I learnt how to use the machines at tech arts [this is the normal day we go] these are the names of some of the machines we used..... Scrawl Saw, Bench Drill, Sander and some other tools and machines that I can't quite remember.Also on Tuesday the Makuhari students left this was a very sad time for the host students as well as the rest of us who had spent some time getting to know them, I think they have learnt a lot about our culture and we have learnt a lot about there culture. On Wednesday, I learnt how to delete and add google extensions. Finally on Thursday because there is no Friday this week, I learnt a new song at Jump Jam when it was on at lunch time in the ALC and this morning in band we joined the senior band and there I learnt how to play some new songs that were for the senior band because the senior band was playing some of our songs and if we wanted to then we could play there songs. After school that night we drove up to Pukekohe for the National Championships for Bmx New Zealand.
Good Friday, on good Friday I raced for the mighty 11s hoping to get a spot to represent New Zealand when they go over to Aussie and race. In the end I came 12th out of 12 but that wasn't my main goal to train for, everyone got a shirt at the end no matter what place we got. On Saturday it was the 12 and under groups who were racing. When I raced I got 13th equal with a girl that I've been trying to bet but unfortunately she wasn't in my moto because we had the same riders all 5 races. And my friend Ella got 5th but only just there were 3 fighting for the third spot but they had to photo finish it because it was so close. On the Sunday my brother Kyle raced he doesn't like Bmx anymore so he quit but he did get 18 out of 19 because one rider fell off and didn't race the rest.
Week 9 Reflection
On Monday and Tuesday there is no school because of the Easter holiday but we had lots of fun relaxing and playing with our neighbors. On Wednesday I learnt that some other people from Clarinet get another day of lessons because it was a holiday on Tuesday. On Thursday I learnt how to play three new songs on my Clarinet and we also had summer games in the afternoon and we all learnt that Puniu house it the hardest house to compete with. On Friday I learnt how to properly do a multiplication and subtraction algorithm. On Saturday I didn't learn anything but we played Netball and unfortunately we lost both games and the first game we lost I'm not sure what the score actually is but i think it was about 25-0 to them. And on our other game we lost 3-8. On Sunday [today] we went to Bmx for our club champs and we took our awards from the nationals and we took a photo to be in the newspaper for wk 9 and i got 4,3,3,4,4 so overall I got forth.

Wow Caitlyn. You have written heaps this week. I think I saw a mention about you over weekend on Facebook about BMX. It was about the girl at TAI who came third (I think) and other TA BMXers were mentioned.
