On Monday I learnt how to multiply 100's or even 1000's. For example, if you were to times 100 by 78.987 so 100x78.987 then you would first see how many zero's are in the 100..... So there are 2 zero's and now that you know you just move the decimal point up two spaces even if it was for a number three was like this one, higher and harder to work out. 10000x0.872508, you would do the same, but decimal point can be moved or you can add after the decimal point how many zeros are in the number your time sing so 0.000087208.
On Tuesday I learnt how to change grams to kilograms and change kilometers - meters and distance and also weights. I think I am quite good at change decimals, weights and distance because I got all 35 questions correct.

On Thursday I learnt that the postponement day for the WIMS Football tournament was actually on after a huge gush of rain. I found out that the girls Football team is pretty good coming in 3rd place and the boys only placing 9th.
On Friday at tech arts I learnt how to make a marble run with only two A3 pieces of paper, scissors, sellotape etc. I also learnt that today we didn't have Winter games when I thought we should of because the field wasn't that muddy.

Term 2 Week 3 2016 Reflection
On Monday I learnt how to write .0? in fractions for example, if you had .0426 then you first will see what column the 0 is in so tenths then carry on like that and if you were to do this example it would end up to be. 0 tenths, 4 hundredths, 2 thousandths and 6 tens of thousandths. Even know I was at home on Monday I still did some work on this on some scrape paper.
On Tuesday I learnt how to tell if there is a circuit going around a ball of energy or if the circuit can conduct metal, glass etc. For example we used a alien egg [fake egg] and we saw that the ball was going around in there body when they held both sides of the metal. We also found out that if you hold hands with as many people as you want from if your toes are touching too your heads it still works but if there is on little fault like if someone lets go then the alien ball wont make a sound as well as a light flashing.
On Wednesday we had music camp and we all played as a band but we also had students from Cambridge Middle School and from Mata Mata Intermediate. I learnt lots during my time with them, we played lots of songs for the concert on Thursday and there were also lots of things we had to work on. At the rehearsal in front of many of the school on Wednesday we had a lot of things we still needed to work on as well as we all built more confidence because there were lots of people filling the stands.
On Thursday I learnt how to be brave when you are preforming and when to never let your instrument squeak because if it does then everyone will look at you even people from the band and the crowd. We all had fun playing our instruments as well as listening to everyone else playing there instruments.
On Friday I learnt how to make a little cylinder tea bang fly up into the air. First we had to empty the tea out of them but luckily the tea in the bags had gone off or else it would have been a waste. But we had to predict what would happen if you light the tea bag with a light in a different spot other than the top. We found out that the oxygen in the tea bag turning so hot it started to fly because of the oxygen burning and nearly none left to keep it on fire.

Term 2 Week 2 Reflection 2016
On Monday I learnt that Tadpoles actually eat all the dead skin and eats all the wrinkles off your finger, if you leave your finger in the water, with the tadpoles, for about 2-3 minutes. I also learnt some new skills at the netball courts while my mum was practicing her netball, I learnt how to position myself in the spot that i 'm most confident [Sweet Spot] and how to get out of the habit of missing and bouncing off the goal. On Tuesday I learnt when Mrs Crowes birthday is. My teachers birthday was today and she hates people saying happy bday to her, so we all gave her a surprise, singing Happy Birthday to you....... On Wednesday I learnt how to practice my netball in the rain. We did this hard circuit for netball in the rain. It was really hard because there were 10 sessions and each session took 2 minutes and we did the circuit 4 times. On Thursday I learnt how to play the keys, f sharp, and e sharp on my Clarinet. We also learnt how to play the song Supercalofagilisticexpelodocios as a band and we also learnt how to play the song Alchie, but only a two lines of the song. On Friday I learnt how to make bubble fizzes when the yr eights came back from science in the middle block. They told us all about them and how to make them. I also learnt that we have a very good volleyball team as they have won the past two times they have played. I just really wish I get to play volleyball for our class this year and we make up a better team for our dodge ball. On Saturday at netball we lost 8-11 and I learnt how to use fast feet and the skills we learnt at Wednesday and Monday training into the game. I also learnt how to be careful when I'm at a friends house because I was playing spot light and I fell out of a rotten tree and dislocated my arm, fractured my growth plate as well as fracturing my radius. On Sunday I learnt to always take water with you when you brake your wrist because I had to stay the night at the hospital and I had an operation in the morning at 9 am. After the operation I was very dizzy and I thought that my mum had about 3 faces the drugs that were in my sistem were still there at home i got some medication and had to drink lots of water with lots of rest and sleep.

Term 2 Week 1 Reflection 2016
On Monday I learnt how to use scratch [a computer coding website] and I also learnt more about how a powhiri is and now we have a new Japanese teacher as well as a new teacher for room 6 because Mrs Davidson is have a baby later this year. This time for the powhiri my class sat at the very front next to the kapa haka students who sand three Maori songs to start and end the Powhiri. It must of been a new experience for them both as they both looked very confused,I think they will be lovely teachers at our school, unfortunately the new teacher for room 6 will only be here for one year. On Tuesday I learnt how to deal with depression, anxiety and if you feel unsafe in your community and things like that. Mike King, came this afternoon and he told us about his life and how he got addicted to alcohol when he was 13 and addicted to drugs when he was only 19.
On Wednesday I learnt how to use SAS Writer Reviser [an add on for editing work], I started using SAS writer on Monday but I learnt how to properly use it on Wednesday. There are lots of topics on SAS writer for it to edit for you. But in my class we only used it for various reasons.Firstly because we have been searching for an add on for quite a while now. Secondly because us students don't really pick out simple, compound and complex sentences that easily and quick . And lastly cause it uses more time trying to edit instead we can just go onto Google docs and it will already be there for us. On Thursday I learnt how to play the song on my clarinet, Supercalofragilisticexpelodocious. I also learnt the times dates and what songs we are doing at our concert in two weeks. The senior band is doing about ten songs, [I'm in Junior band] junior band is doing about six songs and Choir is doing six songs as well. We also learnt the rehearsal times etc. I'm really looking forward to Music Camp because its a totally new experience and its only my first year playing a clarinet. On Friday I learnt how competitive the trialists for the Belmont Netball team. Today I trailed for the Belmont netball team and they were trying so hard to be perfect so they would get in, but they were trying too hard to reach there goal and be someone else they ended up failing, so not catching the ball, missing all the goals and even getting called for Obstruction every time they defended a player. Make sure when your trying to make it into a team, try not to show off or be the best, just relax take your time and pretend its just a normal game of netball. On Saturday I learnt how to not let your team bunch together as well as making space with your parter when they're sticking to you. At my netball game we won 14-4 to a TAI netball team and a girl called Julia that was in that team, in my class and she was defending me. On Sunday I learnt that when ever I go shopping I always need to bring my money because today I went shopping and there were about ten things that I wanted to get but I didn't bring my money. Today was a fun day shopping especially because my grandma came down to spend time with us.

Term 2 intro
Hi Guys
School is back and its Term 2 it is very exciting this term because today we started off with a Powhiri, we have lots more inter class sports, and now we have a new Japanese teacher as well as a new room 6 teacher because Mrs Davidson is having a baby later this year.
